Henry Simonds
Henry J. Simonds is a practicing artist, curator, and filmmaker. He has shown in Pittsburgh, Vermont, and New York and collaborated on exhibitions with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, the Middlebury College Museum of Art, the Silver Eye Center for Photography, and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.
He has written, edited, and produced both feature films and documentaries for the screen and television. His work has shown widely on Public Television, including Women in the Wings: Pittsburgh's World War II Worker, "A Look in the Eyes of Resistance: The Holocaust Stories of Malka and Moshe Bara", "One Shot: The Life and Work of Teenie Harris", Rachel is, and Andy Warhol: A Documentary.
Simonds is a graduate of Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT) and has served on the Board of Trustees since 2015. He serves on the Advisory Boards of the Andy Warhol Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and is President of the Henry John Simonds Foundation.
He is a Masters of Fine Art candidate in Visual Art at Vermont College of Fine Art (Montpelier, VT). He is currently serving Chatham University as a member of the Board of Trustees.
