Rick Ebert

Rick Ebert is the owner and operator of Ebert Family Farms in Blairsville, Westmoreland County. A dairy farmer  and milk supplier to Turner Dairy for over 40 years, Rick and his son Jonathan have transitioned to beef cattle, sheep, vegetables and a farm market. Ebert Family Farms also maintains 300 acres for hay, corn, soybeans and forage sorghum.

Rick has been a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau since 1982 and has served as both president and vice president. He also chaired various policy committees and boards at the state level and was president of the Westmoreland County Farm Bureau and District 16 Director.

Nationally, Rick spent two decades on federal working groups devoted to dairy farming and agriculture, including as a member of the board of the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture and an executive committee member of the American Farm Bureau Federation.

A sought-after speaker and panelist, Rick has appeared before the US House of Representatives Subcommittee on Development Agriculture, Trade and Entrepreneurship; the North American and European Union Agricultural Conference; the Great Lakes Economic Forum; the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board; and the US Waters Advocacy Coalition.

Rick has volunteered his time and expertise with the Westmoreland County Conservation District, St. James Catholic Church, 4-H and the Westmoreland County Fair. He has been recognized widely across the state, including as a Master Farmer and as Keystone Farmer of the Year, and receiving the Barn Raiser Award from the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

Rick is a Penn State graduate and holds a BS in Dairy Science with a minor in Agricultural Education.
